Giving is a way of committing to, and supporting, God's church and what He is doing, so we use money raised to support ministry here in Greenisland and across the world.
Giving is a response to God, and so each person is encouraged to simply give as they are able.
Giving is between you and God, and so we seek to keep details of giving private.
If you would like to give regularly to the church, provide a one off gift, or give to one of our missions partners, you can use any of the following means.
Cash & Cheques...
You can give to any work of the church on a one off or regular basis by placing your gift into the offering bag during any of our Sunday services. If giving by cheque, please make payable to ‘Greenisland Baptist Church’.
If you would like to give to a specific ministry or project, please include a note with your gift to identify what it is to be given to (for example, "Building Project" or "Zimbabwe Orphan Care").
Regular Giving & Online...
You can set up a regular Direct Debit or Standing Order through your own bank; just ask any of our finance team for the details (Paul Hutchinson, Philip Griffiths, or Roy Williamson).
You can also give online via Stewardship. This is an organisation setup to provide supporters with a quick and easy means of giving to churches, charities and groups. Stewardship has over 19,000 charitable causes in their database! Visit https://www.stewardship.org.uk, set up an account, and then search for "Greenisland Baptist".
You can also donate to our building project via PayPal by clicking on the link below
That's right! You can also raise money for GBC by shopping online. Retailers will give a cash reward for shopping with them, and then pass that on to the church through EasyFundraising.
Visit http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk and create an account. Now when you go shopping online, visit EasyFundraising first to see if your chosen retailer is listed, or install their donation reminder which reveals which companies will reward you for shopping with them. Participating retailers include Amazon, Ebay, Tesco, Debenhams and many more!
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase your giving through the use of Gift Aid. This allows us to claim an additional 25% on your gift at no extra expense to you, by claiming money back through the taxes that you have paid. You can read more about Gift Aid here, or download a Gift Aid Declaration here and include it with your gift.
