Prayer at GBC
It’s no secret that prayer meetings are often the most poorly attended meetings that a church holds. This sits in sharp contrast with how importantly the Bible values prayer and urges us in all circumstances and situations to come before God and speak with Him, praise Him and make our requests.
We believe that as a church we must trun to God in prayer before, during and after any of our work in our community, realising the value of prayer in our spiritual battle for the souls of people around us. We place a strong emphasis on prayer in small groups each week but also give people other opportunities to come together in prayer.
Corporate Prayer Together
On the first Thursday of every month we have our church prayer meeting. it has been designed to give people the maximum opporunity to come and meet together at a time that suits them best. The evening is split into 4 prayer sessions where you can drop in and out as you can. Each session can have a particular focus and includes a time of worship. The sessions start at 6.15pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
Prayer Breakfast
On the first Sunday of every month we have our early morning praer meeting before church. This is a great time to still ourselves before we come to church and to pray together for the Sunday services and other ministry. Add to that the bonus of getting some nice croissants and drinks - what better way to start your Sunday.
CAP Prayer
Once a month we meet together after the evening service at 8.30pm to talk about and pray over the issues that face CAP. We can give thanks for the positive work that God is doing through Jacqui and the volunteers and also bring our requests before God and pray for the saving of souls.

We have a number of small prayer chains, squares, triplets and whatever other
name you can attach to them!

We also have an emergency prayer text service which you can
contact in order to distribute a prayer of urgent need. To sign up to this
service contact and we will send you the number you need or add
your number to the receiver list should you wish to be a part of chain.
